Happy Mother’s Day

This goes out to all the mothers in the world: past, present, and future mothers, surrogate mothers (whether male, female, or cross-species), and even those who may never bear offspring, for whatever reason.

Being a mother is a pain in the ass. I look at my mom and realize that she’s been through a lot, and that some of the lines on her face were created by me.

Let’s also ponder what it means to be a mother in this day and age, with the such things as overpopulation and poverty glaring at us.

Does one really need to breed to be a mother? Let’s consider Mother Theresa.
