The history of shaving

March 28th, 2005

Earlier today, I was chatting with Tiffany today about shaved genitalia, and was inspired to do a Google search on the history of shaving. Why and where did we learn this bizarre habit of depilation?

I found an interesting timeline at the Quik Shave site

Peeved

March 27th, 2005

It boggles my mind when very close friends who I haven’t seen in a while tell me they’re going to spend time with me after hour n, and when said hour arrives, they are nowhere to be found.

So, I finally got the call from my dear friend Beth, and she pointed out that I had actually never given her a clear indication that we were supposed to get together after 6 pm. Furthermore, she pointed out that she has never, to date, snubbed me. Yet. (The Barbie/Fuel Cafe incident doesn’t really count, because she did [finally] show up.) I guess I was so needy that I was sure we had made plans. LOL.

Mongolian eyes

March 27th, 2005

After I got done recording the wave sounds in the last post, I stopped by at Corina’s and we went for a walk by the lake…

Goose shit galore!

I’ve known Corina something like 16 years, and I was dumbstruck when she told me her maternal great-grandfather was Mongolian. She has really striking features: I always thought she was really beautiful, and found her eyes incredibly alluring, almost feline. So when she told me she had Mongolian ancestry, it all made sense. She has those asiatic eyes that I find completely irresistible. Corina, if you ever read this entry, always remember that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

Wavescape

March 27th, 2005

A few posts ago, I mentioned that I fall asleep to the sound of ocean waves. Inspired by the (slightly) warmer weather, I rode my bike down to the lake, equipped with my DAT recorder and a nice condenser mic. My goal was to record more wave sounds to fall asleep to. I found a spot by the rocks, just south of the water plant on Lincoln Memorial drive. The 15 minute MP3 is available here for your listening pleasure.
