Wavescape

March 27th, 2005

A few posts ago, I mentioned that I fall asleep to the sound of ocean waves. Inspired by the (slightly) warmer weather, I rode my bike down to the lake, equipped with my DAT recorder and a nice condenser mic. My goal was to record more wave sounds to fall asleep to. I found a spot by the rocks, just south of the water plant on Lincoln Memorial drive. The 15 minute MP3 is available here for your listening pleasure.

Nice work Roman. There are no cawing birdies in this recording.

Unfortunately, it is really difficult to fall asleep to. Too much sloshing against the rocks. It is not as restful as waves on a nice beach. I will have to try again.
