Day 2 in Sri Lanka

Greetings from the Teardrop of India,

Day 2 in Sri Lanka, getting over jetlag. I met my beautiful baby godchild, and what a joy she is. I will send some pix when I can. So I decided to leave the safety of the house for the din of Colombo. I was walking down the main road by my cousin Roshan’s house, looking for a 3-wheeled cab (tuk-tuk) to catch to Colombo, when a guy walking a bicycle popped out of an alley. Upon seeing me, he uttered what must have been the only two words he knew of the English language: “Holy shit!” Interesting choice of words, upon seeing a dreadlocked man wearing sunglasses and shorts, walking down the street.
